At the Al Smith dinner, Donald delivered an embarrassing collection of “jokes,” some he seemingly ad libbed as they were clearly over the line. A few were so wildly inappropriate in fact, many in the audience booed, something that has happened only once before at an Al Smith dinner.

Donald called Hillary “crooked,” talked viciously about her emails and just was not able to let go of his rage, remarking that, “Here she is pretending not to hate Catholics.” At that moment, even Cardinal Dolan turned his back to Trump.

Donald Trump was booed at a charity dinner Thursday night when he started joking about accusations that Hillary Clinton is corrupt.

“We’ve learned so much from WikiLeaks,” Trump said. “For example, Hillary believes that it’s vital to deceive the people by having one public policy and a totally different policy in private.”

The remark drew loud boos, to which Trump responded, “That’s OK. I don’t know who they’re angry at, Hillary, you or I.”

He prompted another round of loud boos when he said, “Here she is in public pretending not to hate Catholics."

Hillary, maintaining her composure and dignity, took to the podium and absolutely roasted Trump. In the spirit of the event, Hillary let loose with some hilarious, self deprecating lines and poked fun at Trump; showing once again, the best number for a woman is “45!”

WaPo: At charity roast, Trump delivered what might as well be a campaign eulogy

The crowd repeatedly booed Trump, something that simply doesn't happen at lavish charity dinners at the Waldorf Astoria hotel.

Even the host said Trump went too far. What an embarrassment. Imagine for a moment, the Don, representing our nation at a State Dinner or another international event.

Al Smith V, whose family hosts the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York, said Friday that Donald Trump "crossed the line and took it a little too far" with some of his remarks at this year's charity gala.

"Donald had some very solid minutes early on and eventually he crossed the line and took it a little too far, Smith said in an interview on CNN's "New Day." "Hillary, on the other hand, was able to laugh at herself and at the same time not underplay any of the serious things Donald Trump has said or done,"
